Hi, I'm Miss T!
Welcome to Miss T's Notebook.
For as long as I can remember, I've been a total foodie. I used to love reading other people's food blogs, always daydreaming: wouldn't it be amazing if one day I could have a food blog of my own?
That dream started to become reality during the pandemic. With so much more time spent cooking at home, I started an Instagram account — originally just to document the dishes and recipes I'd made, so I could look back on them later. As the collection grew, I began to think: instead of letting these records scatter across posts, why not find a better way to organise them properly? It would be easier for me to reference anytime, and handy for friends too. And so, this blog was born — I finally have a recipe base that's truly my own.
Since moving to Australia with Mr V, I've grown to miss that "Hong Kong taste" even more. That's why you'll find plenty of recipes here that are closely tied to Hong Kong. To be honest, Hong Kong's food culture is incredibly diverse — you can find cuisines from all around the world. My cooking style is simply about making flavours I love — whether it's traditional, fusion, or my own freestyle combination. As long as I think it tastes good and turns out well, I'll document it. And then there are those dishes I've tried at restaurants and attempted to recreate at home from memory. So you'll find a real variety here.
I sincerely hope the recipes here can bring you a little inspiration. If your kitchen fills with the same aromas as mine, even though we may be thousands of miles apart, it's as if we've built a wonderful connection through food. I think that's quite a romantic thing.
I hope this site can be helpful to everyone — let's enjoy the joy of cooking together!
